BYFA
Bethel Young Fine Arts
a Christ-centered fine arts program at Bethel University for students k-12!
BYFA is a safe and encouraging space for young people to explore theatre in a Christ-centered environment. It serves not only our K-12 students, but also our Bethel University students, who have the opportunity to invest in and mentor the next generation of storytellers. Through this program, students are able to experience the full theatre process, from auditions to tech week; they will gain skills and confidence, growing as artists and collaborators.

meet the founder: Josh Maurer
Josh Maurer, Director of Acting and Voices of Triumph, is a graduate of Bethel University and serves in multiple roles in the theater and music department. He earned his B.A. in Theater Arts and an AA in Business Management. While his focus in on training college students in Christ-centered theatre he also has a heart for young people to know and love God through experiences in the arts. BYFA, Bethel Young Fine Arts, was born out of the desire to share the arts with young people in a way that brings them closer to Christ and gives glory to God. Josh saw a need for high caliber fine arts training, coupled with a Christian worldview in our area and BYFA was developed for that purpose.
